You can obviously check the weather on the live beach weather cams in real-time on any of the above cameras. But this will give you the details and forecast for Alabama Gulf Coast beach weather that you can’t get from the live webcams. You may have to drag up or down a little to see the coastline fully.

You can also check out the National Hurricane Center website to track any hurricane activity in the Gulf of Mexico or Atlantic Ocean.

Gulf Shores is a town on the Gulf of Mexico in Baldwin County, Alabama. It’s a seaside resort town with a year-round population of about 25,000 and a huge number of visitors during the summer. People come to the area for its many beaches, gorgeous scenery, and a variety of accommodations.

Ocean Reef Destin Beach Cam

Ocean Reef has it’s own Destin Beach cam ocean reef camera with views of the Gulf of Mexico, here along the Emerald Coast in Miramar Beach. This new, state-of-the-art Destin Beach webcam, has been installed by Ocean Reef Resorts near the Majestic Sun on Scenic Gulf Drive. The views are towards the southwest with the towers of Destin in the background. Guests and visitors can check out live beach conditions whenever desired. You will notice that the colors in the water vary from day to day depending upon the degree of sunshine and the sun’s position in the sky. Waves vary too from the rare still calms to giant waves when storms are looming off the coast. Due to the camera’s positioning, you will also see the sun setting over the Gulf waters during the winter months, which is awesome!

Not just one Fort Walton Beach cam.  We found several super useful webcams when visiting Fort Walton Beach.  We thought it would be cool if we could find all the best webcams around Fort Walton Beach and put them in one place.

We found some great ones!  Of course, we found several Fort Walton Beach cams of the actual surf and beach. And on clear days, you can see all the way to Navarre Beach!  You can check out the traffic as well as view sunsets, summer fireworks, fishing competitions, boat parades.  You get a real-time look at traffic going to Destin from Ft Walton.

The Boardwalk on Okaloosa Island is an iconic spot, acting as the last landmark as you drive from Fort Walton Beach into Destin. Full of colorful restaurants, shops, and incredible views, The Boardwalk is the perfect place to spend a day at the beach.

The Crab Trap happens to be one of the local and tourist staple restaurants located right on The Boardwalk in Newman Brackin Park. This beachfront restaurant in Fort Walton Beach is a busy hangout without outdoor tables, a children’s playground area, a full seafood menu, and a view you have to see to believe…

Spot a dolphin cruising through the waves and vacationers playing a round of volleyball. Speaking of, this spot is home to a number of professional volleyball tournaments throughout the year as well as cheer competitions. The Crab Trap is also just minutes away from some of the most luxurious beach homes, like Bella Riva 108.

Needless to say, The Crab Trap on Okaloosa Island epitomizes coastal living.

Check out the Hilton’s Pensacola Beach rooftop beach cam.  It give you an excellent overhead view of the weather and how crowded the beaches are.  This is a great view.  You may have to click play to start the stream, but the view is worth it. Expand to full screen and enjoy!

This view overlooks the iconic beach ball Pensacola Beach Water Tower and  a place where families and friends can experience all the Florida Gulf Coast.  World famous for its sugar-white sand beaches and emerald-green waters.

Enjoy fresh gulf seafood at a variety of restaurants, take a walk or catch fish on the Pensacola Beach Pier.  A portion of Casino Beach to the right of the pier is marked off as an alcohol-free zone. Signs are posted for beachgoers’ convenience.

If you are looking for a complimentary resource to check Florida traffic try the Florida Department of Transporation’s 511 map.  It is a free resource to see current conditions of Florida highways, roads, etc. so you can determine if there is road construction or traffic situations. A great site for vacationers as well as locals.

Perdido Key Beach Cam

The Perdido Key Beach cam view is out by Fort Pickens.  Spanish for “lost island” Perdido Key is home to several parks such as Johnson Beach at Gulf Islands National Seashore, Perdido Key State Park, and Big Lagoon State Park.

We loved finding useful Navarre Beach webcams during our trip to Navarre Beach.  We stayed on the sound side and we loved being able to check the surf from our rental house before we packed up our stuff for a day at the beach.

Oh, how I wish we would have known about this webcam during our trip.   If we had to run errands over the Navarre Beach causeway to Navarre proper this could have told us how long the trip may have taken.  We didn’t hit a lot of traffic on our trip, but sometimes there was a backup to get on the bridge to come back over to the beach.  This will come in so handy on our next trip.  Again, thanks to NavarreBeachLife.com for providing a stream.

Navarre Beach Pier reopened in June 2010 and is the longest fishing pier on the Gulf of Mexico at 1,545 feet. The Navarre Beach Pier is a favorite for locals and is one of the most popular locations in Navarre, Florida. You can expect to catch Spanish Mackerel, Pompano, and King Mackerel. If you are looking for a great Florida fishing pier, it doesn’t get much better than this.  This view is hosted by Beach Rentals at Navarre.

Juana’s Pagoda’s Navarre Beach Sound Cam

Yes, we talk a lot about Juana’s Pagodas on this blog.  But, it is the epicenter of Navarre Beach as far as we could tell.  This webcam comes in handy so you can see the condition of the water in the Sound.  Which, of course, tends to stay much calmer than the Gulf side.  It really came in handy on our trip as Hurricane Barry was skirting around Navarre Beach and made the Gulf beach off-limits for swimming our first 5 days.

Or, use the Juana’s Pagoda Sound view cam to check out who is on the volleyball courts.  Are people playing pick-up volleyball today?  Another handy webcam view that we wish we would have known about.  Check out our more detailed page on Juana’s Pagodas for more information.  You will see Juana’s on your left as you come over the Navarre Beach Causeway.

Navarre Beach Marine Science Station Underwater Webcam

Ok, this one isn’t live.  They had plans for it but I don’t think they were able to maintain the feed.  But this captured video will give you an idea of what it would look like live.

An April 2017 article in the Pensacola News Journal said:

The 360-degree underwater camera, the first of its kind in the Gulf of Mexico, is a project of the Navarre Beach Marine Science Station. Two nonprofit groups used grant money from the Santa Rosa County Tourist Development Office to purchase the $20,000 self-cleaning camera for the science station. The live stream from the Navarre reef started in late December.

Custer has seen sting rays, octopuses, sea turtles and many types of fish while exploring area reefs.

“There are a lot of interesting things out there,” said Custer, who regularly monitors the reef camera.

Julie Morgan, tourism development director for Santa Rosa County, said the science station has spent several months fine-tuning the camera.

“When the visibility is clear, you can see lots of cool things,” said Morgan, who has spotted sea turtles and lots of different fish on the live stream.
