VRBO was the first place we went when we decided to spend 2 weeks in July of 2019 in the beach community considered Florida’s “best kept secret”. We have used VRBO for over 15 years now and always start there to get a good understanding of the inventory and price points of rentals in an area.

As you can see from the below chart, May and June are definitely the most in demand and, therefore, have the highest rates on a month-by-month comparison over the calendar year.
You won’t find a lot of difference in cost based on the location of the property on the beach going east to west. They all have access to the beautiful Navarre beaches and views. It depends on the size of the units, amenities for the properties, and whether it was originally built for luxury, economy, or somewhere in between.

3 Mistakes To Avoid When Renting on VRBO
Not Searching For Rentals on Local Rental Sites:
Most local rental companies list their inventories on one of the larger sites like VRBO. It may take some time, but if you can find out who manages the rental on VRBO you may be able to go direct and save some of the booking fees. We like the protection of using a national company like VRBO and it may not be worth the time for shorter rentals, but we went for 2 weeks and would likely try to do that next time now that we know the area. Especially, if it was for another extended visit.

Yes, VRBO is always our first stop since we have been using them for so long. But, we now always at least check AirBnB. You will have pretty good coverage if you just check those two in Navarre Beach. If you want to extend your search you can always look at Trip Advisor or Booking.com.
Check Listings on AIR B & BHotels: If you are only staying one night and want to be on the beach The Navarre Beach Springhill Suites is the only traditional hotel actually on Navarre Beach. We had a drink in the bar one evening and walked past it frequently when we were on the beach. It looks like a pretty good setup. The construction appears to be new and they have a nice lazy river-style pool. You can review our Navarre Beach hotels post for detailed information on area hotels.

Navarre Beach has few major roads. Most vacation homes are found within walking distance of popular destinations, beaches, and restaurants. All the popular ride-sharing options should be available as well.
Biking is also a popular option, due to the many bike paths found throughout the area. It gives you a chance to take in the scenery and attractions from a much closer perspective.
